Use of this website
This website is operated by PCV Digital Limited ("PCVdigital"). Use of this website is subject to these terms and conditions ("Terms"). By using this website, you agree to be bound by the Terms which shall take effect immediately on your first use of this website. If you do not agree to be bound by all these Terms you must leave this website immediately.
Changes to these Terms and Conditions
PCVdigital may change these Terms at any time by publishing revised or new terms on this website. We notify you of the date the changes were last made by including the date of these changes in the 'Current Version' section. You should check this page from time to time to take note of any changes.
By using this website after we change the Terms, you accept and will be bound by them. Nothing on this website shall constitute an offer by us to provide any services to any person accessing this website. When you set up an account to access and use our Services, we grant you an End User Licence to access and use these services. The terms of this End User Licence are as follows.
1. About PCVdigital
PCV Digital Limited ("PCVdigital") is a UK registered company. We operate the PCVdigital platform as a service for our Business Customers who need to conduct appropriate identity and other verification checks for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements so that they can understand risk associated with a transaction. When our Business Customer invites you, their Client, to complete identity and other verification checks, they are inviting you to set up an account on our platform so that you can provide that information to us, on behalf of our Business Customer.
2. Our services
We use the information you provide us to carry out identity and other checks using third-party services. All this information is then available to the Business Customer who requested the checks, but not to anybody else. Your information is held securely by us.
3. How do you use our Services?
After you receive an invitation from your advisor (who is our Business Customer) to provide information, you follow the email link to register an account with us, then you provide the information we need for the verification checks. Your advisor (our Business Customer) can access this information. If the Business Customer needs more information, they will contact you to ask you to provide that via your account with us.
You should ensure the personal data you provide to us is accurate, complete and provided in a form that we can process. If you don't have all the information to hand, you can return to our site, log in to your account and provide that information later.
4. Licence to use our services
We give you a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-assignable and non-exclusive licence to use the software provided to you as part of the Services. This licence has the sole purpose of enabling you to use and enjoy the benefit of the Services as provided by us in the manner permitted by these Terms. When you create an account, you are agreeing to this Licence to use our Services in accordance with these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms gives you a right to use the PCVdigital name or any of our trademarks, logos, domain names, other distinctive brand features, and other proprietary rights. All right, title, and interest in and to the Services (excluding Content provided by users) are the exclusive property of PCVdigital.
Your obligations under this Licence — you agree that you:
- Will allow the data you provide us to be shared with our Business Customer
- Will only use the services to supply the information requested, and only for your own benefit
- Will not use the services for any unlawful act
- Will not send spam or other unwanted communications to us
- Will not upload content with viruses or other harmful code, or which you don't have the rights to use
- Will not reverse engineer or otherwise try to derive any of our source code or related technology
- Will not scrape, crawl or spider our services or website, nor interfere in any way with their operation, nor act in any way to cause damage to them
- Will not use any of our brands, trademarks or logos without our permission
5. Licence Suspension
We have the right to suspend your Licence and your access to the Services without notice, if we suspect that you are in breach of these terms of use.

7. Anti-virus software
Whilst we endeavour to ensure our services are virus-free, it is your responsibility to make sure your devices are protected against viruses and malicious software.
8. Service availability
We endeavour to make our service available at all times, but on occasions you may not be able to access or use our services due to events outside our control, including technical issues or security threats. If our service is unavailable for any reason, we are not responsible to you in any way for any consequences that such lack of availability may cause.
9. Data processing
You agree that we can process your data in accordance with our Data Privacy Policies and Processing Notice, which are available on our website within this Our terms page.
10. Result of the verification checks
We do not recommend how our Business Customer judges risk as a result of the validation services that we provide. We accept no responsibility for the outcome of any such decision by our Business Customer.
11. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The changes will not be retroactive, and the most current version of the Terms, which will always be available on our website, will govern our relationship with you. We will try to notify you of material revisions, for example via a service notification or an email to the email associated with your account. By continuing to access or use the Services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
12. Disclaimers and limitations of liability
The Services are available to you on an 'as is' basis and 'as available'. Your access to and use of the Services are at your own risk. Without limiting the foregoing, to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, PCVdigital disclaims all warranties and conditions, whether express or implied, of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We make no warranty or representation and disclaim all responsibility and liability for: (i) the completeness, accuracy, availability, timeliness, security or reliability of the Services; (ii) any harm to your computer system, loss of data, or other harm that results from your access to or use of the Services; (iii) the deletion of, or the failure to store or to transmit, any content maintained by the Services; and (iv) whether the Services will be available on an uninterrupted, secure, or error-free basis. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from us or through the Services, will create any warranty or representation not expressly made herein.
Our limitation of liability: to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PCVdigital shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Services; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Services, including without limitation, any defamatory, offensive or illegal conduct of other users or third parties; (iii) any content obtained from the Services; or (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content. In no event shall the aggregate liability of PCVdigital exceed £100.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
This Licence is governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any disputes in relation to it.

PCV Digital Limited ("PCVdigital") provides information and analytic services ("Services") to business customers ("Customers"). The Data Privacy Principles refer to the personally identifiable information, including sensitive personally identifiable information, collected, maintained, used or disseminated in connection with our Services.
How we define privacy
PCVdigital is committed to the responsible use of information and protecting individual privacy rights. Our Services aim to assist Customers in reducing fraud, mitigating risk, and facilitating more informed decisions, in ways that protect individuals' privacy.
PCVdigital uses third party service providers who deliver high quality information and who are committed to protect individuals' privacy. We aim to promote transparency through our privacy principles and policies, and to assist with opportunities for access and correction with respect to personal information about individuals.
These third parties are controllers of data on individuals. PCVdigital is also a controller and processor of this data and other data that our Customers supply. Our Customer is also a controller and processor of data.
PCVdigital uses the services of LexisNexis Risk Solutions to provide search information — see their processing notices and consumer and data access policies.
The 12 principles
PCVdigital applies these 12 principles to our Services. From time to time PCVdigital may revise these Data Privacy Principles by posting changes on its website.
- Security — data security is a company imperative. PCVdigital strives to protect personally identifiable information that we hold or disseminate, including through the use of appropriate administrative, physical, and technical safeguards.
- Distribution of personally identifiable information — PCVdigital strives to provide additional safeguards for sensitive personally identifiable information, and works through its third party data providers to ensure appropriate standards are in force when using the PCVdigital platform.
- Accuracy — PCVdigital cannot be responsible for the accuracy of information from third party providers, but assesses third parties and strives to work with the highest quality information providers. Where reporting errors occur, individuals can dispute and correct information by connecting to the data source provider (see Access and correction).
- Protection of information supplied by Customers and their end customers — we make every effort to ensure that data received is held securely and used only for AML and KYC verification. We do not compile information as marketing lists and do not share it with anyone else.
- Education — PCVdigital strives to inform employees and platform users about privacy and security, the responsible use of personal information, and the choices available regarding third-party data.
- Reputable sources — PCVdigital selects third party providers who acquire information from established, reputable sources and take reasonable steps to assess reliability before use.
- Notice — these principles are published on our website. For more information, contact the Privacy Office at data@pcvdigital.com.
- Access and correction — PCVdigital helps individuals connect with the third party provider from whom information was obtained, so they have a meaningful opportunity to review and correct it.
- Accountability — PCVdigital supports accountability to information industry standards, practices and legislation.
- Online privacy — PCVdigital strives to protect personal information obtained online and apply our principles to the online environment.
- Identity theft — PCVdigital strives to prevent acquisition of information for improper purposes such as identity theft, and follows our Data Breach Notification Policy where a breach poses a risk of identity theft.
- Compliance — PCVdigital will process personal information in accordance with all applicable privacy and data protection laws and regulations.

1. About this Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies when you visit or use our websites, apps and other services (collectively the "Services"). This privacy policy may be supplemented by additional privacy statements, terms or notices provided to you. PCV Digital Limited ("PCVdigital") operates the Services and is the primary controller of your personal information provided to, or collected by or for, the Services.
2. Information we collect
The information you provide to us is usually requested by a Business Customer who has asked you to provide your information for the purpose of carrying out screening of individuals for AML and KYC validation. We collect information about you in three ways: directly from your input, from third-party sources, and through automated technologies.
Data you provide to us may include contact details, account login credentials, other account and profile information, identity documents such as a passport or driving licence, proof of address, and communication preferences.
Data from your organisation may include your contact details, job title and organisational user ID, obtained so we can activate and manage your access to the Services.
Data from third parties includes search and screening information provided by third parties so we can deliver the Services.
Data from Service use includes device and connection information (IP address, browser, operating system, error reports), usage data (features used, click-stream data, pages visited), and, for location-aware Services, your approximate region. We collect this through servers, cookies and similar technologies; blocking certain cookies may limit your ability to register, log in, or use parts of the Services.

4. Sharing of your information
We may share your information with your organisation's administrators, with service providers who process data on our behalf (email, IT and identity validation providers), with other parties where you've opted in to further communications, and where necessary for legal reasons — including compliance with law, fraud prevention, protecting rights and safety, or as part of a corporate transaction.
5. Your communications preferences
You can manage your communications preferences and other settings when you register with the Service, or by contacting us. We reserve the right to notify you of changes or updates to the Service whenever necessary.
6. Accessing and updating your information
Registered users may directly access, review, correct or update their account information at any time, and may close their account by contacting customer support. You have the right, under applicable privacy and data protection laws, to request free of charge: access to, correction or deletion of your personal information; restriction of, or objection to, our processing; and portability of your personal information. 7. Data retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services or for other essential purposes, such as complying with legal obligations, maintaining business and financial records, resolving disputes, maintaining security, and enforcing our agreements.
8. Children's privacy
We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 18 or target the Services to children under 18.
9. Data security
We use a variety of administrative, physical and technical security measures to help safeguard your personal information.
10. Locations of processing
Your personal information is stored and processed by us in the United Kingdom. When we use a third party to validate your information, we take steps, including through contracts, to ensure it continues to be protected wherever it is located, consistent with applicable law.
11. Grounds for processing
Where we collect personal information within the scope of European data protection laws, we do so where necessary to provide the Services, to comply with legal obligations, to perform a task in the public interest, with your consent, or as necessary for our legitimate interests — except where overridden by your privacy rights. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time; where we rely on legitimate interests, you may have the right to object.
12. Changes
We will update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date, and material changes will be notified through the Services or by other means.

In data protection law, people have rights over their data. Where PCV Digital Limited ("PCVdigital") holds your personal data, you have the following rights:
- The right of access — you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold. This is also known as a subject access request (SAR) — we have one month to respond.
- The right to object — you can object to specific processing of your personal data for certain purposes, unless PCVdigital has a good reason to continue.
- The right to be informed — PCVdigital publishes privacy notices explaining why we process personal data, how long we keep it, and who we share it with.
- The right to rectification — you can ask us to correct your data if it isn't accurate. Where data was supplied by a third party, we will help you raise your request with them.
- The right to erasure — you can ask PCVdigital to delete your data if we no longer have a valid reason to hold it.
- The right to restrict processing — in certain circumstances you can ask us to temporarily stop processing your data (though we may continue to store it). This isn't an absolute right.
- The right to data portability — gives you more control over data you've supplied to us electronically, where we rely on consent or contract performance and process it by automated means.
- Rights around automated decision-making and profiling — where a decision is made entirely by automated means with legal or similarly significant effect, you can request human involvement. PCVdigital does not undertake automated decision-making or profiling in relation to your data.

PCV Digital Limited ("PCVdigital") strives to protect the data we hold from unauthorised or unlawful processing.
User access to our platform
Any user of the platform must be authenticated with two-factor authentication to be granted access to the system, including a time-limited verification code sent by SMS. Staff log-in accounts are subject to strict security controls, including password complexity requirements and dual-factor authentication. Only staff who strictly need access are granted it, and only at the minimum level required.
Data protection
Our service requires us to gather, process and store personal data from end users, in line with relevant data protection legislation, including the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK GDPR. How we process personally identifiable information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Storing and encrypting data
PCVdigital services are hosted on a Microsoft Azure platform. We do not store data on local machines. Data in transit is encrypted using at least TLS 1.2. Data at rest is encrypted following industry best practice, using ciphers that guarantee a level of protection equivalent to AES-256 or stronger. We provide secure back-ups of our data to ensure information is always available.
Transfer of data outside the UK
PCVdigital uses some third parties whose services may operate outside the UK and European Union. In the case of LexisNexis, we operate under a strict contract to help ensure UK GDPR mechanisms are respected.
Security testing
We perform regular penetration tests and undertake vulnerability scanning as part of our commitment to maintaining the security of our platform.
Request for deletion of data
To process a data deletion request, write to us at data@pcvdigital.com. If an end-user requests deletion of their personal information, we may need permission from the Client with whom the original request for processing originated, if the data forms part of an AML compliance record. If a request is approved, we will remove your personal data from our platform within 30 days.

About the code
PCV Digital Limited's ("PCVdigital") code of conduct is based on four pillars: operating to the highest achievable standard; conduct that is always legal, ethical and responsible; respecting the rights of all individuals, including fair and non-discriminatory labour practice; and caring for the environment.
Working with young persons
We will not use child labour.
Involuntary labour and human rights
We recognise the fundamental human right to freedom from slavery and are committed to respecting human rights throughout our operations and supply chains. We will not directly or indirectly use, participate in, or benefit from involuntary workers, including human trafficking-related activities. We comply with our legal obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and other relevant legislation.
Treatment of employees
Employees have clear and fair employment contracts with work hours clearly stated in compliance with employment law. Employees are treated with dignity and respect; we do not tolerate harassment, abuse or intimidation, and operate a policy of non-discrimination in hiring and employment practices.
Health and safety
We provide employees with a safe and healthy workplace in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Care for the environment
We comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations, and support a precautionary approach to environmental change, initiatives promoting greater environmental responsibility, and the development of environmentally friendly technologies, aiming to use sustainable, recyclable materials with minimum waste.
Anti-corruption
We do not tolerate, permit or engage in bribery, embezzlement, extortion, kickbacks or other forms of corruption. We abide by all applicable local, national and international laws, including the UK Bribery Act, and will not offer, give or accept payment or benefit intended to improperly influence any party.
Security of company and personal data
We process data only for the purposes for which it was collected, received or otherwise made available, subject to technical and organisational security measures to safeguard it against loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, access or other unlawful processing.
Other laws
We comply with all applicable local, national and international laws, regulations, treaties and industry standards. Where this Code is stricter than applicable law, we comply with this Code; where they conflict, we comply with the law.
Reporting
If an employee becomes aware of a possible failure of the Company in its Code of Conduct, they should report it to their line manager. We communicate the provisions of this Code to all employees and contractors.
